I've had the pleasure of fishing at the Chinootka Lodge for over 10 years now, and with Bruce Chard for 30 years.  In addition to great fishing, excellent guiding, and spectacular scenery.

I've always enjoyed the fine food and accommodation that Chinootka Lodge provides and the comradeship of other fishermen.  This is my idea of a real fishing lodge, where real fishermen enjoy the best things in life.

Vancouver Island Halibut fishing is steadily becoming more popular and Nootka Sound's outside waters have plenty of them. Generally in May and June, the halibut move into shallow waters, providing an excellent opportunity to catch these tasty "chickens of the sea".
